Virgie Jeffers Detling, age 92, of Dayton, Ohio and formerly of Oneida, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.  Virgie was a life member of Moose Lodge 1645 and VFW Post 3438.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nevin Detling; son, Harold Gene Hamblin; parents, Winston and Mary Etta (Dyer) Jeffers; brothers, Paul, Auther, Burl, Earl and Walter; sisters, Ina, Lena, and Marie; and by a son-in-law, John Lawdermilt.

Virgie is survived by son, Bill and Theresa Hamblin; daughters, Joyce and Rick Miller and Janice Lawdermilt; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be conducted on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Annadell Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements for the family of Virgie Detling.  Tobias Funeral Home Far Hills Chapel is in charge of arrangements in Dayton, Ohio.
