Shirley M. Taylor

Shirley Mae Perkins Taylor, age 79 of Winfield, TN, passed away at Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  Born in Scott County, TN on April 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Della Stephens Perkins.  Shirley was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Sammy Taylor; sister:  Blanche Perkins Strunk; brothers:  Eugene, Jack and Carl Perkins, Jr.; and a very special niece:  Delorise Ann Adkins Roark.

Shirley is survived by her sisters:  Irene Adkins, Carolyn (Carroll) Clark, Rose (Pete) Hammock; brother:  Jerry (Judy) Perkins, all of Oneida, TN; special niece:  Tracey LaRae Douglas of Oneida; sister-in-law:  Ann Perkins of Symrna, TN; her extended family at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may visit with the Taylor family on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Smith officiating.  Music will be provided by the Adkins Family and Leroy Phillips.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Perkins Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Pallbearers will be: David Adkins, Sidney Hammock, Chris Marlow, Logan Marlow, Bill Strunk, Bob Strunk, Jim Strunk, and Chad West.
