Prillie Stephens Chitwood Chambers, age 85 of Oneida, TN passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Tennova North Hospital in Powell, TN.  Born March 4, 1932 in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Odas and Elsie Webb Stephens.  Prillie was a member of the Hazel Valley Baptist Church, and sang with the Jellico Creek Quartet, singing at many funerals in both Kentucky and Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband:  Pershing Chitwood, second husband:  Clifton Chambers; grandchildren:  Brent Strunk, Marcia Chitwood and Mark Chitwood; and brother:  Cecil Stephens.

Prillie is survived by her son:  Sherman Chitwood and wife Jerri; twin daughters:  Sharon Strunk and Larry Watson of Winfield, TN, and Karen Keeton and James Baker of Oneida, TN; step-son:  James Chambers and wife Opal of Oneida, TN; special granddaughter:  Debbie Laxton and husband Dwayne of Helenwood, TN; great granddaughters:  Brooke Miller, Raven Richmond and Journey Owens, all of Oneida, TN; great grandsons:  Kirby Chitwood of Alcoa, TN, Isaiah, Seth, Trevor and Conner Strunk, all of Oneida, TN; granddaughters-in-law:  Samantha Chitwood and Valerie Strunk; sister-in-law:  Glenda Parr of Oneida, TN; and her precious little dog:  Suzie; special friends:   Gail Seven and Heather Cecil and families, Marie and Gayson Thomas, Penny Woods, Carol Jeffers, Bridget Ball and Shirley Davis; caregivers:  Lona Huckeby, Kelsey Byrge and Bridgett.  Prillie also leaves many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chambers family on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones and Son Funeral home with Bro. Dudley Harness and Bro. Kevin Sexton officiating.  Music will be provided by Debbie Terry, Gail Seven and Doris Potter.

Burial will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery in Winfield, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Kirby Chitwood, Harvey Chitwood, Randy Stephens, Sylvester Davis and Chris Stephens.  Honorary pallbearers will be:  Isaiah, Seth, Trevor and Conner Strunk.
