Lillian Ruth Shepherd Emory of Oneida, TN, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN surrounded by family.  Born June 19, 1944 in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of Perry and Opal Shepherd. 

Lillian graduated from Oneida High School and received degrees from Cumberland College, Eastern Kentucky University, and the University of Tennessee, and was a guidance counselor at Scott County High Scott prior to her retirement.  She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents:  Perry and Opal Shepherd.

She is survived by her husband:  Charles (Bill) Emory of Oneida; aunts:  Dessie West, Cindy Terry, Laura Terry, Hazel Terry; uncles:  Jim Terry and Tom Terry; several cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends:  Sue Johnson, Kelly Winters and Gay Bridges.

Graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Morris Goodman Cemetery in Oneida, TN.  Pallbearers will be:  Ronnie Wilson, Saylor Wilson, Leonard Lackey, Conald Bridges, Ted Sharp and Roy Emory.
