Letha Mae (Slaven) Hammock, age 92 of Oneida, TN departed for Heaven on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Huntsville Manor.
She was born February 4, 1925 to the late Benjamin and Ethel (Burke) Slaven in No Business, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Letha was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hammock; brothers, Audley, Clyde, Wendell, and Archie; sister, Mabel; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three nieces, Luanna Vaughan, Susan Slaven, and Trudy Hyde; nephew, Audley Slaven; step-nephew, Thomas Hill; one great-niece, Leslie Hyde Scott; three great-nephews, Inali Slaven, Ben Slaven, and Barry Vaughan; as well as several cousins, friends, and her husband’s family, the Hammocks.
Friends may visit with the Hammock family on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 8 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Opossum Rock Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
