James Robert “Jamie” Martin Jr., age 45, of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  Born on January 27, 1972 in Oneida, Tennessee, he was the son of Linda Carter and the late James Robert “Bunny” Martin.  James was a member of the Gum Fork Baptist Church, enjoyed working on vehicles and spending time with his family which he loved dearly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son James Robert Martin III; grandparents: Ollie and William Martin and Willis and Nola Carter.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Martin; mother Linda Martin; father and mother-in-law Jackie and Carol Braden; two sons: Jacob Phillips and fiancé Cheslee and Zackary Martin; one grandchild Kenlee Phillips; three brothers: Jerry Wayne Martin and wife Bonnie, James H. Martin and Travis Martin; four sisters: Denise Upchurch, Sharon Edwards and husband Tim, Virgie K. Sexton and husband Curly, and Judy Martin and fiancé Seth; brother-in-law Randall Braden and wife Tonya; sister-in-law Sherry Allen and husband Roger; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Martin family on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Kidd officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
