James Leonard Chambers, age 61 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

James was born in Oneida, Tennessee on September 25, 1955 to Barbara Faye McCarroll and the late James Robert Chambers. He was a member of the New Light Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Chambers; father James Robert Chambers; son Nathan Chambers; daughter Shonda Kay Chambers; brother-in-law Ricky Foster.

Survived by his mother Barbara Faye McCarroll; special friend Pam Jones of Winfield; daughters: Jennifer Calhoun and husband Brian, Christy and Carrie Botts; sons: James Chambers and wife Jessica, and Chad Chambers and wife Michelle; sisters: Madeline Huft and Barbara Foster; brother Paul R. Chambers all of Oneida; grandchildren: Byron, Chelsey, Kayla, Dustin, Joshuah, Leah, Morgan, Wylloh, Jasmyn, Savannah, Dominick, Dac, Dayce, Patience, Praylee, Jasmine and Jace; great-grandchildren: Urijah and Brayson; special cousin Judy Bufford of Indiana; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Chambers Family on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 12 p.m. at the New Light Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Fults and Bro. Chase Lay officiating. Interment will follow in the New Light Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Jones, Logan Fults, Travis Foster, Trevor Foster, James Chambers and Chad Chambers.
