On January 15, 2018, Irene Lawson transitioned to her heavenly home to be reunited with those who have gone before including her husband of 56 years, Clark Lawson, daughter Sheliah, parents Culm and Elsie Terry, sister Nell Crabtree and husband Filmore, sister Edna “Ted” Dennison, step-grandchildren Joey Robbins and Jeremy Dople. 

Irene was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed exercising, playing games, amusement parks, sharing family stories with the children, baking and eating peanut butter cookies and other glorious confections. She liked spending time with her kids and grandkids. 

Irene is survived by her children, Debbie Davis (Rick), Tim Lawson, Dewayne Lawson (Angela), Brad Hodson (Shannon), granddaughter and caregiver Ashley Chandler, grandchildren Chris, Nick, Bailee, Charli, Zach, Natalie, Alex and Allison. Great-grandchildren Christopher, Katie, Cameron, Samuel, Landon, William, Hayden, Braylen, Bryson, Wyatt, Chloe and Beckett. Great-great grandchildren Aubrey and Lucas. Two sisters, Nelva Phillips of Ohio and Hazel Carson of Oneida.

Friends may visit with the Lawson family on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 12 noon until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Delph officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.
