Hollis Carson, age 71 of Oneida, TN, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center.  Born November 30, 1945, he was the son of the late William Henderson Carson and Dortha Mae Lewis Carson.

Hollis was the owner of Carson’s Budget Tires for over 30 years; a member of the New Haven Baptist Church, a Vietnam Army Veteran, lifetime member of the VFW, member of the American Legion Post #5669, and member of Masonic Lodge #695 F&AM where he was a 32nd Degree Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother:  William Glen Carson.

Hollis is survived by his wife:  Jannie Burress Carson; children:  Theron Shane Chitwood and wife Stacey, Holly Carson Hood and husband Glen, and Hollin Deran Carson and wife Amy; brothers:  Nathaniel Carson and wife Elinore Ann, Benny Curtis Carson and wife Euladean, and Teddy Ewell and wife Alice; sisters:  Diane Burchfield and husband Jim, and Sharon Cross and husband, Dr. Danny W.; six grandchildren; 3 great grandsons; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Friends may visit with the Carson family on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at the New Haven Baptist Church with Bro. Philip Kazee officiating.  Music will be provided by the Singing Cousins.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carson Memorial Park with full Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.
