Helen May Handy, age 79 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.

Helen was a member of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church.

She was born in Winchester, New Hampshire on July 4, 1938 to the late Luther Roger and Allene Brown Nelson.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Karl Prouty; two brothers: Bub Nelson and George (Sam) Nelson.

Survived by her husband Richard Handy; two daughters: Brenda Seagal and Jodi Prouty; three sisters: Mary Clark, Jo Hodgeman and Donna Short; one grandson John Scadova, Jr.; many other relatives and friends.

 A Graveside service for Mrs. Handy will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Meeting House Cemetery in West Brattleboro, VT.

 A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Winfield, TN with Pastor Virgil Gibson officiating.
