Gwenda Johnson

Gwenda Lea Johnson, age 65 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the LaFollette Court Nursing Home in LaFollette, TN

Born in Norma, Tennessee on May 19, 1952 she was the daughter of Helen Pergram Johnson Duncan and the late Elvin Johnson.

Gwenda attended Pentecost Baptist Church for many years and she loved music, coloring and being around children.

In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her step-father, Willard Duncan; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Johnson; Corbin Pergram and Artha Christian; two special aunts, Florene Lowe and Charlene Day.

Gwenda is survived by her mother, Helen Pergram Johnson Duncan; sister, Donna Loyd and husband Daniel of Lafollette, TN; brother, Larry Johnson and wife Gail of Akien, SC; she also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Johnson family on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 1p.m. until time of funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Laxton and Bro. George Asbury officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Loyd, David Chambers, Jim Lowe, Joe Chamblee and Jared Asbury.
