Mr. Delmer (Bob) Fowler, age 88 of Oneida, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN.  Born December 23, 1928 in Goose Rock, KY, he was the son of Harry B. and Lola Baird Fowler. 

Bob was a Sergeant in the U. S. Army where he served during the Korean War; was a lifetime member of the VFW; and a member of the Winfield Baptist Church.  He enjoyed gardening, and being a tour guide for visiting in-laws from the north, showing them the sites and history of the Tennessee area.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son:  Robert Fowler; sister:  Polly Pimental; and father and mother-in-law:  Russell and Mary Lockwood.

Bob is survived by his wife of 33 years:  Donna (Lockwood) Fowler; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Larry (Carol) Lockwood and Marvin (Sandy) Lockwood from Erie, PA; and his fur baby:  Charley; step-brother:  Lautin Laxton; and many other family members and friends.

Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Friends may visit with the Fowler family on Monday, October  2, 2017 from 7 p.m. until time of celebration of life service at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hodges officiating.  

After the service, Bob will be cremated.
