David Lance Strunk, age 76 of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 7:15 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

David was born August 12, 1940 in Middletown, Ohio. He went to be with his Lord and Savior and his beloved wife, Irene C. Crabtree Burke Strunk.

In the 60's he served in the Navy in Tijuana and also by air ran electronic rovers in Cambodia right before the start of Vietnam War. In 1977 David worked at HBD in Oneida and he was responsible for a number of inventions that helped further their company.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Mae Strunk Stanfill Olinger Napier and his father Robert Lee Olinger; brothers: Richard Olinger and wife Gloria, Kelly Stanfill and wife Dorothy, Joseph Stanfill and wife Margaret and Worley Lee Olinger; sister Ruth Stanfill Hubbard; brothers-in-law: Clell Reed and Johnny C. King;

Survived by his children Allen Lee Lance Strunk and wife Autumn, Mark Allen Haltrom and wife Tania, Tonja Kathleen Armstrong and husband Elmer, Scotty William Bradshaw and wife Tammy, Kathy Burke and friend David Cecil, Donnie Burke and wife Carol, Karen Chambers and husband Mike; grandchildren: Levi, Evalee, Korey, Betheny Jenny, Jacob, Amanda, Michelle, Shannon, Jessica, Mike, Kathleen, and Makayla; great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Jake, Anderson, Ansley, Kris, Kloie Kaiden, Kylie, Jailyn, Emma, MaKenna, Michael Paul, Marquel, and Michael; several nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters: Gary Olinger and friend Crystal, Dorothy King, Bobbie Ann Bell, Sue Ellen Reed, Rebecca Sue Daugherty and husband Eugene; sister-in-law Nancy Olinger the wife of Worley; many other relatives and friends.

David will be sadly missed by all.

A graveside service will be on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 5 p.m. at the Black Oak Cemetery in Oneida.
