Chester Harness, age 73 of Pioneer, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his home. Born March 14, 1944 in Scott County, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mckinley and Roxy Harness; brothers: Hubert Harness, Edward (Eck) Harness and Homer Harness; Sisters: Rosie Day, Lorene Mason; and Goldie West; grand-son AJ Jeffers.

He is survived by wife Joyce Harness; Children: Pam and Kevin Jeffers, Chris and Shannon Harness, Mckinley and Tabatha Harness; grand-children: Kc Jeffers and (Tracy Lenee Brown), John Jeffers, Christa Harness and (John Allred), Olivia Holtsclaw and (Gabe Bertram), Dylan Harness and (Chelsee Renee Lowe), Kaynan Harness, Jr. Harness, Tequila Harness, Maleki Harness, Mcbriar Harness; Brothers: Albert Harness, Glenn Harness; sisters: Lavena Bowling, Charlotte Williams; special brother-in-law: Bobby Williams; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Harness family on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 6 until 9 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.

Funeral will be conducted on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of West- Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hughett and Rodney Mason officiating.  Music will be provided by Rhondy and Lois.  

Interment will follow in the Bull Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Albert, Kc Jeffers, Dylan Harness, Dalton King, John Jeffers and Jr Harness. Honorary pallbearers: Lonas Lowe and Darrel Harness.
