Charles Estes (Buster) Sexton, age 85 of Elgin, Tennessee, left this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida.  He was born on February 4, 1932 to the late Elmer and Geneva York Sexton.

Buster was the beloved husband of the late Berta Helen Sexton.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter Fayrene Sexton; daughter-in-law Vanessa Hammonds Sexton; sons-in-law: Rex Newport and Gary Litton; grandkid Marco Maley; great grandkids: Abbigal Litton and Joshua Ethan Myers; sisters: Marie, Ella Jean and Betty Jane.

He is also the loving father of Roseanna Jeffers and husband Harold, Sarah Newport, Teresa Blevins and husband Bethel, Linda Litton, David Sexton, Joe Sexton and son-in-law James Sexton.

He is also the brother to Dick Sexton and wife AnnaRose, James Sexton, Geraldine Jeffers, Kathlene Bailey and Brenda Strunk.

He has 32 grandkids, 75 great-grandkids, 17 great-great grandkids; many other relatives and friends.

Charles E. Sexton was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the U.S. Army, Huntsville Fire Department, Huntsville Alderman and served as the Huntsville Mayor for many years.

He loved to work, watch and drive race cars just as much as he loved to sit and talk to everyone he came in contact with.

Charles “Buster” wishes was a private burial which will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Charles E. Sexton Family cemetery.
