Arlando "Pete" Stephens, age 88 of Winfield, TN passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home under hospice care after a lengthy illness. 

Pete was born to Ova and Manilla (Webb) Stephens in his beloved state of Tennessee on April 4, 1929.  He married the late Jana Vee (Owens, Stephens) Mitchell in 1952 and they had three sons together.  

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served as a Medic Assistant and a Guard.  He worked for Carter Lee Lumber of Indianapolis, Indiana before and after the war until his retirement.  At that time, he moved back to the Winfield area.  He was a Christian and a Baptist. 

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; sister, Ocie Adkins; and brother-in-law, Francis Lawson. 

He is survived by his sons, Randy Stephens, Lanny Stephens and wife, Betty, and Danny Stephens and wife, Shelia; sister, Verne Lawson; granddaughters, April Henderson and husband, Scott, Stephanie Falls and husband, Austin; grandsons, Danny Stephens II and wife, Shauna, and Joe Stephens and wife, Brandi; and great-granchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins, and many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.  

At his request, Pete will be cremated.
