Fed Austin West age 90 of Oneida, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Lafollette Medical Center in Lafollette, Tennessee.

Born in Oneida, Tennessee on August 15, 1922 he was the son of the late John Wesley and Telitha Susanna King West.

Fed was a member of the Pine Creek Baptist Church, a retired United States Naval Veteran of World War II, Korea, and a disabled American Veteran. He was a member of the Oneida Masonic Lodge # 695 F&AM for over 50 years becoming a Master Mason and 32nd Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, John Austin West; three sisters, Nancy Jane Thompson West, Ellana West Lay, Rilda Clementine West Marcum; seven brothers, William Charles, Williard Woodrow, Etheridge Walton, Howard Elwood, Kirby Greenberry, George Oscar and Walter A.Y. West; three sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth, Etta Pearl and Patricia West; three brothers-in-law, Jim Thompson, Earnel Lay and Clay Marcum.

Fed is survived by his wife Lillian Burchfield West; one daughter, Phyllis Payne; one son, Gregory S. West all of Oneida, TN; six grandchildren, Trey Allen of Redmond OR, Ben Allen, Bobby Simon, Austin West and Cooper West all of Oneida, TN, Maddie West of Murfreesboro, TN; three great grandchildren, Sadie Jane, Tegan and Montana Allen all of Redmond OR. He also leaves many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the West family on Friday September 21, 2012 from 5 p.m. until time of Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Music will be provided by the Pine Creek Choir, Dallas West, and John Vernon Thompson, Jr.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, September 22 at 11 a.m. in the Carson Memorial Park with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #136 and the U.S. Naval Reserve. Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Allen, Ben Allen, Bobby Simon, Austin West, Greg Payne, and John West. Honorary pallbearer: John West
