Arthur Dingus

James ‘Arthur’ Dingus age 84, of Winfield departed this life on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.  Born on January 19, 1928 in Winfield to the late William and Martha Thompson Dingus.  He was a born again Christian.  He was full of life, love and laughter and loved spending time with family and friends.  

In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife Easter Fleeta Dingus; sister Virginia Foster and son James “Johnny” Dingus.

He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Dingus Gosnell and special son-in-law Rex (Sonny) Gosnell of LaFollette; son Rick Dingus and wife Kim of Wake Forest, NC; special grandson Michael Taylor and fiancé Brittany Boshears of LaFollette TN; granddaughter Misty Brown and husband Christopher of Loganville, GA; grandson Ricky Dingus of Wake Forest, NC; special great grandson Jordan Taylor and a host of  other great grandchildren; a special niece Jennifer Lewis; sister Lillian Chitwood; special friend Delores Adkins; a very special neighbor and loyal friend Mark and Trenna Muse and family; special friends Stacy and Pat Stephens; many other family members and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. 
 
Friends may visit with the Dingus family on  Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.   Funeral service will be on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home  with Brother Mark Muse officiating. Interment will follow in the Houk Trammell Cemetery,       

West-Murley Funeral Home in serving the family of James ‘Arthur’ Dingus.
